 | There are lots of great reasons why you might like to join the YWCA staff team... | Hours of work Full time hours of work are normally 35 hours a week. At YWCA we have a flexitime system. Part time hours of work are stated in the job description.
Annual leave entitlement Annual leave entitlement is six weeks paid holiday a year, this is pro-rata for part-time staff.
Flexible benefits YWCA has a flexible benefits scheme which includes tax-free child care vouchers, two levels of pension contributions, season ticket loans, health care plans, and other benefits.
Sick pay We continue to pay salary during sickness absence depending on how long an employee has been with us. The amount is defined each individual contract of employment.
Maternity pay Our maternity pay is well in excess of statutory rights.
Pensions YWCA's pension scheme is administered by The Pensions Trust. Staff may join it when they start working for us. There are two levels of contributions. YWCA will pay either 10% with the employee paying 6%, or YWCA will pay 5% with the employee paying 3%. Employees may choose to make additional voluntary contributions.
Life assurance Our life assurance scheme is administered by Scottish Widows. Staff may join it when they start working for us. The death benefit paid is twice the annual salary at time of death.
Employee assistance programme This is a confidential information and support service provided to all employees and members of their family who live with them. And it's free. Staff can get financial, legal and general information on things like as consumer issues, debt advice, relationship problems and a counselling service is offered.
