 | How companies can help | “We are absolutely delighted to get involved in supporting YWCA” - Simon Trott, managing director of Towergate MIA
Companies and organisations can help YWCA make a real difference to the lives of vulnerable teenage girls. Girls like Hazel. Hazel is 22 and is taking a painting and decorating course at college. She is working hard, passing exams and is praised by her lecturer. But without the support of YWCA things could have been very different for her. She left school with no qualifications and couldn't find any work. Instead, she came to YWCA did some courses and got qualifications, support and encouragement to go college.
Despite the difficulties of being a woman in a predominantly male occupation, her chosen career will give her long-term security, flexibility and financial reward. Now she feels really positive about the future.

“I’m doing all right for myself now, but some girls just don’t get the support or encouragement they need. That’s where YWCA comes in. I am honoured to be a part of YWCA and you should be too!” - Sharon Thompson, YWCA supporter
